We have been meaning to buy a kite all summer and we just never got around to it. Well, as we were checking out at the grocery store today a Care Bear kite was staring us in the face, and it was only 75 cents. It is good to know that there are still some cheap fun things to do in the world.
Marin thinking she can fly on the kite.
Daddy and Marin getting the kite in the sky and watching it soar.
Lucky
This week, our world was crazy. I was in Toronto for work for part of the week, Ed had cross country after school, and a meet on Saturday (the girls ran great), plus all the other house stuff that needs to be done, and most importantly spending time with Marin.
Well, we have decided to add to our crazy life. Marin is going to be a BIG sister! We asked Marin what we should call the baby while I am pregnant, and she told us "Lucky". We hope she always feels that way because Ed and I do. She talks to the baby through my belly button and often tells Lucky to "come." She does not understand the wait she has ahead of her. She akso tells us that Lucky is a boy. We will have to wait and see if she is correct.
Tonight, right before bed, she ran into our spare bedroom.
Me: Marin this is not your room, this is going to be Lucky's room.
Marin: No
Me: Where is Lucky's room going to be, then.
Marin: Tummy (She understands that is where the baby is now, but has no concept that it will live in our house at some point.)
Ed and I are very excited and look forward to the love, fun, and challenges that a second child will bring. I am feeling great. I am at the tired stage of my pregnancy, but other than that I can't complain. I have not been sick at all. Our due date is May 4, 2007. My dad my have to share a birthday (May5) with this little one.

A Fort or a Tent?
It is still up for debate between Marin and I if we built a fort or a tent. Marin brought two blankets over to me this afternoon and told me she wanted a tent.
I pulled three of the kitchen chairs into the living room and we built away. I kept on telling her we were building a fort, and she kept telling me "tent".
We had alot of fun. Marin ate her lunch under the "tent" and we played with my old Strawberry Shortcake dolls. It is fun to be a kid again!

Fingy Off
This week Marin went to her cousins house because my parents were on vacation. As we were driving to Seamy, Clau Clau, and Brigy's house, Ed and I heard a "HELP" coming from the backseat.
Me: Marin, what do you need help with.
Marin: Fingy
Me: What is wrong with your finger?
Marin: Fingy off.
Me: You want your finger off.
Marin: Yes (as she is pulling it and grunting as hard as she can) and says MOM PULL.
We still do not know why she thinks she only needs four fingers, but we did not help her make her dream come true. Earlier this morning Ed asked Marin to demonstate how she would pull off her finger. We captured it above.
